Business executives and young professionals are working together to lead the Tampa Bay area in the best practices of social and philanthropic responsibility. You can join them at the 7th Annual Get Down to Business Tampa event, hosted by Easterseals Florida on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET, at the Shanna & Bryan Glazer Family JCC in Tampa. Tickets can be purchased online at https://one.bidpal.net/gdtb2023tpa/welcome.
A champion in business and a generous philanthropist, Richard Gonzmart will serve as the keynote speaker at the 7th Annual Get Down to Business Tampa. Gonzmart is a fourth-generation caretaker of the 1905 Family of Restaurants, which includes the world-famous Columbia Restaurant. Putting a high priority on giving back to his native city, Gonzmart passionately supports the causes he cares about and the nonprofits striving to make a difference in the community.
The event will also feature panelists Michael Flores, executive director at JPMorgan Chase; Danielle Stevens, owner of Vine Vegan restaurant; Michael Lyn Bryant, owner of Dunedin Brewery; and Alejandro Oliu Smith, Publix manager.
Easterseals Florida Senior Director of Development Angela Beers said, “This event gives entrepreneurs, business professionals, and philanthropists an opportunity to network, cross promote, share ideas, and most importantly, support an excellent cause. We’re getting ‘Down to Business’ to empower Tampa’s future!”
Proceeds from the 7th Annual Get Down to Business Tampa event will support the local programs and services provided by Easterseals Florida, which is dedicated to creating equity, inclusion, and access for people with disabilities. Just one of these local programs is the Easterseals School for Limitless Learning, a brand-new private school for children who are neurodiverse or have other related disabilities, coming to the Bloomingdale area in mid-2024. The campus, which is currently under construction, will be located at the BayCare Health Hub at 2470 Bloomingdale Avenue in Valrico.
Easterseals School for Limitless Learning will include two specialized programs, a lower elementary program (for students in pre-school to second grade) and an early childhood program (for children ages 6 months to 3 years). The goal of the private school is to provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment, designed to help special needs students reach developmental milestones through hands-on activities, and Easterseals is actively seeking donors who share its commitment to inclusive education.
