SARASOTA, FL – All Faiths Food Bank is thrilled to announce another edition of one of its most popular – and one of the area’s best-attended – events: Bowls of Hope. This family-friendly event supports All Faiths Food Bank’s work, benefiting our neighbors experiencing hunger.
Each year, Bowls of Hope attracts as many as 1,500 guests, who select delicious offerings from 40 of the community’s finest restaurants and caterers as they serve delicious soups, bread, desserts, and more. Guests select beautiful, handcrafted bowls – all donated by local potters, artists, and students – to keep, while enjoying a modest meal as a reminder of the empty bowls they help to fill.
This year’s event is chaired by Ron and Jo Jadin. “Soup-Er Sponsors” are Ron and Jo Jadin, and Dona and Samuel Scott; “Ceramic Bowl Sponsors” are Gary and Barbara Rodkin. Palm Printing has generously donated in-kind services.
“This signature event never fails to be one of the highlights of our year, as the community comes together for delicious food and fun while supporting our efforts to end hunger,” said All Faiths Food Bank CEO Sandra Frank. “Times have been particularly tough in recent years for those who were already struggling with hunger – especially for children, families, and seniors on fixed incomes – and the community’s support is needed now, more than ever.”
Bowls of Hope takes place Sunday, December 3, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Ed Smith Stadium (2700 12th St., Sarasota). General admission tickets are $35, children 12 and under are $10, and VIP Experience tickets are $100 and include perks like reserved parking and seating, quick check-in, and enhanced bowl selection. Tickets and sponsorships are available at allfaithsfoodbank.org. To learn more, contact Becky Wright: [email protected] or 941-549-8131.
